Not only was the team able to successfully present a new strategy and educate 40+ members of the network of Traveling Moms (T MOMS), we were also given the opportunity to learn more about the newest member of the WASP family and see the massive potential of the property first-hand.
Overall the presentation went even better than expected, and the network of Traveling Moms were excited to begin implementing our suggested changes in order to increase the traffic the property’s website is seeing. However there was some surprise when it came to a new plan for the amount of content the moms are producing.
Originally, each mom in the network was responsible for two 500 word articles a month – and we increased their requirements to two articles weekly. One would be a long form article revolving around their travel stories, and the other would be a shorter, “trending topic,” dealing with family travel. They were at first surprised by such a dramatic increase, but after explaining how much more content is needed to begin seeing the desired results, and how to truly take advantage of a dedicated team of contributors, their apprehension turned to enthusiasm.
We were able to show them how an increase in production would lead to an increase in traffic, page views, and eventually revenue. It was like a light came on for each T MOM when they understood the profound results we were expecting to generate from this campaign. We left the retreat feeling not only that we let them know exactly why we are implementing this new strategy, but that we provided them the correct tools to start making the progress we had outlined.
While we knew our presentation made an impact, we were not ready for the immediate, positive response we were seeing from the all of the T MOMs once we got back from the retreat. The next day they began to utilize our social, content and SEO suggestions immediately, and we are already tracking a major turnaround in the reach of the brand – providing the T MOMs with proof of their efforts.
We are hoping to continue the momentum we initiated at the retreat and after. We are more than hopeful that those who attended will continue to carry out our new approach because it is beneficial not only to Traveling Mom but to each individual T MOM as well!
