The other night, as I sat in my chair during another agonizing week of league bowling, I came across a post on my News Feed that an old friend made about mobile app development. He was requesting any friends in the industry to reach out; he was searching for answers to a few questions about mobile app development. Being that I work for WASP, I quickly responded. The majority of the questions he had involved identifying the correct steps to take when searching for the best mobile app development company in the area. While fielding some of his questions, I realized something. There isn’t a general resource that lays out the steps involved for those with the next “Million Dollar App Idea” to find a reputable mobile app developer. This inspired me to generate a number of steps to follow when trying to bring that “Million Dollar Idea” into reality:

If it seems like new social media networks are popping up on a weekly basis, don't worry; it isn't just you. New ways of sharing photos, status updates, and permanently chronicling embarrassing moments really are showing up on a consistent basis. Just figuring out which one appeals to you on a personal note is hard enough - much less trying to choose one as a marketing platform for you business! As always though, we are here to help.
You have your business set up, your website running, and have also managed to recreate a mobile version of your website that is compatible with smartphones and tablets. Now, more than ever, is when you have to focus on mobile site optimization. You need to have the mobile website designed to promote a user-friendly experience. Once designing and re-designing is tackled, you must then ensure that your mobile site is well optimized for search engines. With rise in mobile searches, it is vital that mobile visitors find your site when they need it. Fortunately, if you want the best SEO results for your mobile site, there are only a few things to keep in mind when optimizing for mobile. Let’s get started:
For brands that have yet to accept social media marketing apps as a valuable marketing tool that coincides with a mobile-first marketing approach – good luck. Not only is mobile where the majority of consumers are, social media provides the perfect opportunity for brands to get in front of their desired audience. Social media campaigns have the potential to be a win-win if done correctly. Media buying on social is relatively inexpensive compared to other sources such as paid search. Plus, Millennials want to be ahead of the curve and engage as well as interact with your brand. These next generation social media outlets are perfect for that.
Let's assume that you're familiar with the term "content marketing." It was probably introduced to you sometime in the past 12 - 24 months by a young Millennial with a 5 O'clock shadow, skinny khakis, and a job title that didn't exist 10 years ago. Let's also assume that you took the kid somewhat seriously, and are aware that your company must get better at "content marketing" in order to entice a larger audience, become popular enough to "go viral," and - in theory - make more money. Congratulations; you know about as much as probably every other brand in your industry when it comes to this practice. Unfortunately, everything you thought you knew about content marketing...is wrong. The good news though, is that a more full understanding should help you achieve the results you're after - and maybe even inspire a #hashtag!
Recently, I received a message from a good friend asking me to follow the newly-created twitter profile for his Performing Arts Company. Being a Social Media Strategist, the first thought that crossed my mind was "Will a theatre company benefit by being on Twitter?" This compelled me to think further. Hence, the question, “Which social media platform is appropriate for YOUR brand?” Before we get into further discussion, I want to bust a popular myth – "the more social media profiles I have, the higher my visibility." This is untrue. One’s visibility won't necessarily go up just by having more profiles. A single profile, if well managed with good content, can serve the purpose.
Has your web or mobile site been hit with a penalty from Google? Fortunately, you don’t have to worry because the experienced team at WASP can help your site recover by identifying, assessing, and fixing any issues with the assistance of various diagnostic tools.
Fetch As Google
This diagnostic tool, which is available through Google Webmaster Tools, allows you to simulate how your site URL is rendered and how your site is crawled by Google crawlers. Use this feature by using a Google bot to fetch and render a URL, giving users full details on the site’s HTTP response, page speed, server response time, and how Google and users will see a page.It can be hard trying to keep up with all of Google's search algorithm updates. We've taken the time to list the two most pertinent ones here, and provide a brief synopsis on each. Here's what you need to know about Pigeon and Hummingbird - and how to maximize your search results.
